Have you ever read an internet marketing sales letter that made you want to buy after reading just a few lines? That must have been one awesome and effective sales letter to have you ready to whip out the credit card and buy the product. Would you like to have that same effectiveness in your sales letters?

Being able to write a killer sales letter is a plus in promoting any product in your internet marketing or affiliate marketing business. Now the question is how do you do it if you don’t have the skills to do it?

Here’s How To Write Killer Sales Letters

1. Let’s keep first things first …identify your target audience. What group of people do you think will be looking for your product or service? Just know that not everyone on this big ball of mud is looking for your product.

Knowing who you are targeting with your product will make your letter more effective. This will also help you to write your letter like you are talking directly to the audience that is looking for your product.

2. Know what sets your product apart from like kind products. You will want to state the benefits and advantages of your product over the rest – make them your selling point.

If you can show your potential customers how they will benefit more from your product than your competitors, then you have a strong chance of making the sale.

3. Be believable in your sales copy. This may be a little challenging in today’s environment with all the scams and fraud that you hear about. You want to tell your customers every single reason that they should buy from you.

Give yourself credibility by backing up your statements and claims with data and statistics from outside sources if possible. You’ve got to prove to your customers that what you are saying is true.

4. State all of the benefits of your product to your customers. If there are some benefits that are not obvious, state them too.

After you have identified your target market, the next things that you should determine are the issues and concerns your target audience may be having. Make a list of these problems and determine the benefits of your product that will solve each of these problems.

Problems are always there, it is the solution to the problem that is lacking. So if you can show them that you have the right solution to their problems, then you will be in for huge sales. Having a long list of benefits that your product offers gives you a better chance of turning these readers into buying customers.

5. Put yourself in your customers shoes and write your sales letter how you would want it as a reader. Once you think that you are almost done with it, read it from the viewpoint of a potential customer. Ask yourself if you would say yes to the offer.

Now try to “shoot holes” in your sales letter by finding something in it that would make a customer say no. If you find something, revise it to answer the objection. If you can answer all of the objections that a customer has, you definitely have a killer sales letter. This is what will prove very profitable to you.

6. Get your customers to take action NOW! Make a compelling reason for your customer to buy now. If you don’t do this step you may have missed the sale altogether.

Provide a realistic reason for them to act immediately. Offering special discounts or bonuses for a limited time period is one way to make them buy your product now. Telling them that your product is limited and would not be offered anywhere else once sold may get them to make the decision now. You may come up with other strategies but just make sure that your sense of urgency sounds realistic.

These are just some basic steps to help you get started writing your killer sales letter. It may not be perfect at first but it is alright. Learning to write a killer sales letter may take some time. But starting now with the basics may be your first step on becoming a professional sales writer.
