OK, you got your webpage up and you want sales. The question is …how? How do I get lots and lots of
web traffic to my site?
- Make your content different from other sites. Your content needs to be fresh and new. As search engine robots parse different websites they are looking for new content. If your content is different it will get indexed more rapidly by the search engines.
- Make sure you have keywords on your webpage. This is probably the most important step. Having relevant keywords in your content will help to increase your website ranking on search engines. A better ranking usually translates into more eyeballs, web traffic, on your page thereby increasing your chance of making sales of the product(s) you are promoting on your website.
- Submit your site to search engines. This is another important step in getting more web traffic. Submitting your site directly to a search engine can help get it indexed faster …assuming of course you met the criteria of having fresh and new content as mentioned in step 1.
- Exchange some website links with websites that have a high popularity rank (PR). Exchanging links with popular and related websites is an effective way to drive traffic to your website, and improve the raking of your site. You will get some web traffic coming to your website through other websites that you have linked to.
By following the steps mentioned in this blog, you will see that increasing your web traffic is really a simple process …you just have to be consistent and do it. That’s it folks – it gets no simpler.

Web traffic is the flow of browsers and visitors that goes in and out of your website. The more web traffic you get to your site, the better the chances you can turn a profit.

Chances are good that members of the forum will click on your link and voila …web traffic.
- Create your own content. Create your own content …why not? For one thing, it is free to do – all it takes is some time and thought. You can write an article on the subject of your website and post it to different article ezines like ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com. When you post articles you get to put your link in a resource box which gives you another chance at web traffic. Not to mention the chance for bloggers to link to your article as a resource.
- Join A Link Exchange. This is the most effective way to bring traffic in your website. This is a careful study of all the links shown on the search engines. It is important to secure the sites that are linked to you to have topics same to your website. Traffic is generated if the same subject is seen on the recommendation by the site that you share your subject with. There will be an increased chance of reaching the highest rank with the benefit of linking with other site or search engines. Both sites exchanging links will benefit from this exercise.
- Create A Newsletter. If you have regular visitors, you must send them newsletter regularly. It is either on weekly or monthly basis. This can be a tiring effort, as you will be writing many articles, but with the freelance writers that will offer you free articles, this will never be a problem. You should only put a small resources box after every article. The small box will serve as the link to your site if viewed and clicked by a visitor. Include all your promotions and freebies to the newsletter you will be sending to your regular visitors. This will surely bring much traffic to your website. - Join Traffic exchanges. This is another form of exchange links allowing the member to view each other`s web pages by surfing. By surfing to the web pages, you are gaining points, the more you surf the more points you receive. You are also given an option to gain credits. This will not produce much traffic but it will obtain the names for your visitors by using squeeze pages.
Any of these methods will give your website web traffic. These five ways are proven to attract traffic in your website successfully. You can count on increased web traffic and soon enough, an increase in profits.
